The Government has approved the extension of business and
operating hours to 24 hours for business houses, markets, and bus stations,
according to Chief Government Spokesperson.
The move is expected to boost economic activity by creating
more jobs, increasing productivity, and giving small businesses such as shops,
salons, and food vendors more opportunities to earn income. It could also
attract investment in sectors like retail, transport, and hospitality.
However, the initiative comes with challenges. Security will
need to be strengthened, especially at night, while businesses must manage
higher operating costs such as electricity, staffing, and safety measures.
Worker well-being will also be critical to avoid burnout or exploitation.
If implemented properly, the 24-hour economy could mark a big
step toward economic growth and urban development, but success will depend
heavily on infrastructure, safety, and clear regulations.
From a personal or business perspective, this policy could
open new opportunities. For example, if you plan to open a salon or expand an
online store, late-night clients and flexible hours could increase your income.
