The Zambia Metrology Agency (ZMA) has employed additional
Metrologists to enhance operational efficiency in the Legal Metrology
Department, marking a step forward in strengthening national measurement
systems.
The new staff are undergoing internal training to align
their technical expertise with legal metrology requirements before full
deployment. As part of their field training, the team recently conducted
verification of Bulk Flow Meters at Vivo Energy Depot in Lusaka, ensuring
accuracy and compliance in fuel measurement.
ZMA emphasized that the initiative is part of its broader
strategy to build structural capacity and public confidence in measurements,
reinforcing the role of metrology in trade, industry, and consumer protection.
