Over 200 jobs have been created for local residents at the construction site of Mwelushi Day Secondary School, a project funded by the World Bank under the Zambia Enhanced Education Programme (ZEEP) built in Chiundaponde Chiefdom, located in Lavushimanda District, Muchinga Province.

According to Mwelushi Day Secondary School Headteacher Mowa Kamwi, a total of 213 individuals have so far benefited from employment opportunities at the site. These include youths, women, and persons with disabilities, reflecting ZEEP’s inclusive approach to community development.

Mr. Kamwi explained that ZEEP operates as a community-based initiative, engaging a technical advisor to identify and recruit local people capable of performing various tasks.  HE
